With 2010 this, that, and the other thing lists being all the rage these days, BitTorrent news site TorrentFreak<\/a> has published the tragically inevitable 2010 List of Shame – the year’s most pirated games.<\/p>\n

Altogether, these numbers add up to 28,571,000 pirated games – and these are only BitTorrent’s stats. If there’s anybody out there who’d like to claim that piracy isn’t a real problem for game developers and publishers, kindly make yourself known so everybody else can throw sharp rocks at you. I bet you pirated the Humble Indie Bundle<\/a> too.<\/p>\n

I mean, honestly – almost four million pirated copies of Battlefield: Bad Company 2? I get that – ten years ago everybody hated EA because somebody on IRC told them to; but the game was reasonably priced, packed loads of free stuff, scored a Metacritic average of 87, and is arguably the best multiplayer FPS title this year. Four million people SUCK!<\/p>\n
