MyGaming recently attended an event to celebrate the launch of the MSI Vortex and DOOM.<\/p>\n
Along with press, bloggers, Youtubers, and streamers, a few lucky gamers were invited to Mweb’s MCave in Parow to check out the new hardware and try out DOOM <\/a><\/strong>for themselves.<\/p>\n After a few hectic rounds of multiplayer, a level or two of\u00a0the campaign, and a quick opportunity to mess around with SnapMap, we sat down with a few of them to get their honest impressions of what they thought of DOOM so far:<\/p>\n “Rezaa”: <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n This one guy split me through the head…., it was awesome! The gore is very satisfactory and the gameplay just makes me feel good.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n “Astrid”: <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n The general gameplay reminds me quite a bit of Halo. I liked the old-school DOOM and the multiplayer in this is quite different but it seems quite cool.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n “Jade”:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n DOOM was never really my thing – I have always been more of a Call of Duty guy. I’m also more of a console gamer. I will say I really enjoy the fast-paced, close encounter fighting and I think I will definitely play it better with a controller. In fact, I think I will pick it up for console.<\/p>\n <\/p><\/blockquote>\n “Francois”:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n This new DOOM actually reminds me quite a bit of DOOM II. The game is very impressive graphically, especially with how bright and clean everything looks. I’m not sure if I enjoy the tactile feedback as much as Quake, but the game is fun to play and incredibly beautiful. It’s difficult to say whether the multiplayer will suck me but I can’t wait to play more which is a good sign.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n “BW”:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n This is the first FPS game I have played in a while. That means I might be slightly biased but what I have played so far is pretty frikken awesome!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n “Clint”:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n I must be honest, it took a bit of learning to get used to. It is a completely different game from the original DOOM and DOOM II. The gameplay actually reminds me a bit of Halo and once I got used to it I really started to enjoy it.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n DOOM is available now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.<\/p>\n Have you had a chance to play it yet?
