{"id":92369,"date":"2016-05-16T08:36:10","date_gmt":"2016-05-16T06:36:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=92369"},"modified":"2016-05-16T08:37:15","modified_gmt":"2016-05-16T06:37:15","slug":"microsoft-shuts-down-project-spark","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/92369-microsoft-shuts-down-project-spark","title":{"rendered":"Microsoft shuts down Project Spark"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Microsoft <a href=\"http:\/\/kotaku.com\/microsoft-kills-project-spark-1776573028?utm_campaign=Socialflow_Kotaku_Twitter&amp;utm_source=Kotaku_Twitter&amp;utm_medium=Socialflow\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>announced <\/strong><\/a>that it will no longer be supporting the Project Spark App.<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft has officially removed the app from all of its online stores and plans to close its online servers on <strong>12 August 2016<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This was confirmed by community manager Thomas Gratz on the game&#8217;s <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/forums.projectspark.com\/yaf_postst214854.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">official<\/a><\/strong> website:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cFor existing users of <em>Project Spark<\/em>, online services will be unavailable after 8\/12\/16.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Without services, players will no longer be able to download user-generated content or upload their own creations.
