American Mcgee has released a movie sequel to his cult-classic “Alice” series.<\/p>\n
This in itself is cause for excitement, but McGee has also announced that the movie, Alice: Otherlands will be available to download completely free of charge.<\/p>\n

Otherlands represents a narrative exploration of Alice\u2019s journey after the events of \u201cMadness Returns<\/a><\/strong>.\u201d Being fan-funded and deriving from the property\u2019s film license, Otherlands carries an unusual, rogue-like status next to the \u201cofficial\u201d content contained within the games published by EA.<\/p>\n

For now, we have two short films and supporting art to sate our appetite for psychological adventure. Directors Troy Morgan and Ed Goin take us on journeys as unique as the characters whose minds Alice invades. Their visions add to the growing collection of art and storytelling inspired by the Alice series.<\/p>\n

Linked below are digital assets from the Otherlands project. These can be used to recreate the physical rewards from the Kickstarter \u2013 Art book, DVD, and BluRay \u2013 as they are the same files we used for physical production. Due to legal constraints we are unable to sell physical rewards outside of the Kickstarter campaign (now ended).<\/p>\n

These assets may be reproduced and distributed freely, but not offered for sale in any format.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s uncertain whether we\u2019ll see Alice continue to explore Otherlands (in film or games), or indeed whether we will ever see another Alice game again.<\/p>\n
