AMD unveiled its first Polaris 10 graphics card at Computex 2016 – the Radeon RX 480, reports GamersNexus<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The RX 480 is based on AMD’s Polaris 10 architecture, and aims to deliver high performance to the mid-range PC gaming and hardware enthusiast market.<\/p>\n

The GPU boasts over 5 TFLOPS<\/strong> of Peak Compute power and will be\u00a0available in two different models, featuring 4GB<\/strong> and 8GB<\/strong> of GDDR5 VRAM respectively.<\/p>\n

AMD has avoided challenging the latest Pascal cards released by Nvidia, and aims to deliver\u00a0“VR-Premium” graphics processing at an affordable price.<\/p>\n

The Polaris architecture is focussed on increased power efficiency and price-performance, and will challenge Nvidia’s notebook GPU solutions with the upcoming\u00a0Polaris 11 graphics cards.<\/p>\n

The Radeon RX 480 supports AMD Freesync and HDR, and uses standard GDDR5 VRAM as opposed to the GDDR5X memory used by the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
