Psyonix have confirmed <\/a><\/strong>several new changes to Rocket League, including special rare items and the option to trade-in unwanted cosmetics.<\/p>\n

The game’s next upadate will introduce “rare” and “very rare” items including hats, decals, and new boost trails.<\/p>\n

These new items will play a massive part in the game’s other big change – the option to trade in unwanted duplicate items of the same rarity for one item of the next-highest quality (similar to CS: GO’s trade up contracts<\/a><\/strong>).<\/p>\n

However, the biggest news from the blog post is this disclaimer at the bottom:<\/p>\n

In the interest of full disclosure, we plan to implement Player-to-Player Trading in a later update. Some items, like those with \u201cPainted\u201d or \u201cCertified\u201d attributes, may become much more valuable if you can trade them to other players.<\/p>\n

The \u201cTrade-In System\u201d is designed to let you get rid of unwanted or duplicate items, but you should consider carefully what you trade now versus what you might want to keep for future player-trading opportunities.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The new update is expected to release some time in June.<\/strong><\/p>\n
