Firaxis has revealed that XCOM 2 will be debuting on consoles later this year.<\/p>\n
The game will be available to play for Xbox One and PS4 users on 6 September in North America and 9 September<\/strong> globally.<\/p>\n The port will be handled by new developer “The Workshop”, and will remain largely identical to the PC version with the exception of controller changes.<\/p>\n “The incredible reception of XCOM 2 has been rewarding and humbling for the team, and we\u2019ve known console fans have been clamoring to play the game too,” said XCOM 2 Creative Director Jake Solomon.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n “As avid console players ourselves, we\u2019re excited to work with The Workshop to bring XCOM 2 to all of our fans.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n The PC-version of XCOM 2 originally released in February, receiving\u00a0outstanding\u00a0<\/a><\/strong>reviews despite a number of technical and performance issues.<\/p>\n You can check out the official announcement trailer below:<\/strong><\/p>\n
