{"id":94499,"date":"2016-06-09T12:46:19","date_gmt":"2016-06-09T10:46:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=94499"},"modified":"2016-06-09T16:28:34","modified_gmt":"2016-06-09T14:28:34","slug":"play-for-r30000-in-south-africas-biggest-overwatch-tournament","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/pc\/94499-play-for-r30000-in-south-africas-biggest-overwatch-tournament","title":{"rendered":"Play for R30,000 in South Africa&#8217;s biggest Overwatch tournament"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Orena has announced the Overwatch Champions Ladder, a three-season local Overwatch tournament with a total prize pool of <strong>R30,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Orena has partnered with Blizzard, Megarom, and SteelSeries to offer players a\u00a0R30,000\u00a0across three separate seasonal ladder competitions.<\/p>\n<p>The Overwatch Seasonal Ladder will be available for both <strong>PC<\/strong> and <strong>PlayStation<\/strong> users and will include three seasons throughout the year, each offering a prize pool of <strong>R10,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Below are the Seasonal dates for 2016:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Season 1<\/strong>: 13 June &#8211; 1 August<\/li>\n<li><strong>Season 2:\u00a0<\/strong>8 August &#8211; 3 October<\/li>\n<li><strong>Season 3: <\/strong>10 October &#8211; 5 December<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Teams may enter the ladder at any time during a Season &#8211; but entering earlier is recommended, as players will have more time to secure their spot in the top 4.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of every Season, the top four teams will compete for a prize pool of <strong>R10,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Teams consist of <strong>6 players<\/strong> and games will be played according to a <strong>best-of-3<\/strong> format.
