{"id":9463,"date":"2011-01-19T00:55:00","date_gmt":"2011-01-18T22:55:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T22:00:00","slug":"killzone-3-feels-more-fluid-stutters-less-has-fewer-points-of-irritation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/playstation\/9463-killzone-3-feels-more-fluid-stutters-less-has-fewer-points-of-irritation","title":{"rendered":"Killzone 3 \u201cfeels more fluid\u201d, \u201cstutters less\u201d, has \u201cfewer points of irritation\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p>Killzone 3 &ldquo;feels more fluid&rdquo;, &ldquo;stutters less&rdquo;, has &ldquo;fewer points of irritation&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Guerrilla Games improves its game<\/p>\n<p>Talking to Edge magazine in the hype-up to Killzone 3&rsquo;s February release, Guerrilla Games&rsquo; Mathijis de Jonge has promised that the sequel&rsquo;s sequel features a bunch of improvements over its predecessor.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;[While] we were still tweaking and checking framerate, I checked this game back-to-back with Killzone 2 and have to say that it plays so much more fluidly,&#8221;&nbsp;he says. &ldquo;Also, the adjustments we made to lean-and-peek &#8211; you can actually slide into cover now, vault over, brutally melee your enemies &#8211; it feels more fluid, stutters less. There&#8217;s fewer points of irritation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Of course, with a rather grand Metacritic aggregate of 91 and several million units shifted, those points of irritation probably weren&rsquo;t all that significant to start with. Apparently the dev guys are their own worst critics.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;[The] thing with Killzone 2 was there were some quite technical problems in the controls, actually, and I think we&#8217;ve solved those now,&rdquo; he adds. &ldquo;There was a lot of lag&#8230; by fixing those issues we&#8217;ve lost a bit of that weighty feeling.
