ShowMax\u2019s streaming video service<\/strong><\/a> is now available on the DStv Explora decoder, and will soon be heading to South African gaming consoles.<\/p>\n

The service will be available in a phased roll-out starting 13 June for the DStv Explora decoder, following its release on Apple TV, AirPlay, and Chromecast.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor Explora owners this is a risk-free proposition \u2013 binge entire box sets from the very beginning without having to buy any new equipment,\u201d said Barron Ernst, Chief Product Officer of ShowMax.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re already busy on the next phase which is developing apps for additional streaming media devices as well as gaming consoles. Our goal is to provide a great viewing experience no matter what you\u2019re watching ShowMax on,\u201d concludes Ernst.<\/p>\n

To access ShowMax on an Explora, the decoder needs to be connected to the Internet.<\/p>\n

A ShowMax subscription is needed to access the service. Existing ShowMax customers can log in using their email address and password.<\/p>\n

New customers will need to sign up for ShowMax via its website.<\/p>\n

Customers paying for DStv via debit order will be able to pay for ShowMax through their DStv account.<\/p>\n
