Nvidia has officially reduced the prices of its previous-generation GeForce GTX 980 Ti, GeForce GTX 980, and GeForce GTX 970 graphics cards.<\/p>\n

This is an effort to both clear existing stock and because its upcoming Pascal cards (which wil be more powerful at a lower price) make them largely redundant.<\/p>\n

These are the new prices stated by Nvidia:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The effects of the upcoming Pascal cards have already been felt in South Africa, with the Nvida Geforce GTX 980 Ti becoming steadily cheaper.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Nvidia’s biggest competitor AMD also recently announced the South African pricing of its cheaper <\/a><\/strong>RX 480 card which could also be a contributor of the declining prices.<\/p>\n
