AMD recently revealed<\/a><\/strong> its lower-end Polaris graphics cards, including the Radeon RX 470 and the RX 480M.<\/p>\n

Although we received few details and specifications regarding the upcoming graphics cards, AMD did release a collection of benchmarks which detail the performance of the Polaris GPUs.<\/p>\n

Guru3D<\/a><\/strong> used AMD’s Radeon RX 470 benchmarks to construct a comparison including\u00a0a variety of current graphics cards, and found that it\u00a0scores\u00a0only 5% below<\/strong> the GeForce GTX 970, a popular mid-range Maxwell GPU.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Radeon RX 470 attains an impressive score of 9,090<\/strong> using the 3DMark FireStrike<\/strong> benchmark, only slightly below the GeForce GTX 970’s score of 9,568<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

AMD’s budget-oriented showcase the increased price-to-performance ratio offered by newer graphics architectures.<\/p>\n

The AMD Radeon RX 470 will retail for a recommended price of $149<\/strong>, offering a large amount of power for its relatively low price.<\/p>\n
