Delivering a playable frame-rate at a resolution of 4K is taxing on the most advanced graphics cards, usually requiring a multi-GPU setup and meticulous overclocking to accomplish.<\/p>\n

We have compared the pricing of various online retailers to determine the price of a reliable 4K gaming PC in South Africa.<\/p>\n

For the graphics card, we have chosen to use the MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Gaming X<\/strong>, which is an overclocked and more efficiently cooled iteration of Nvidia’s latest Pascal GPU.<\/p>\n

Although this build\u00a0will not reach an average frame-rate of 60fps and above in all titles, it will deliver a generally acceptable level of 4K performance, despite its single-GPU setup.<\/p>\n

Gamers seeking the added performance of a multi-GPU setup will have to replace the\u00a0PSU in order to accommodate the power demands of two or more graphics cards.<\/p>\n
