KickassTorrents has just reached the top 70 most popular sites in the world, according to current Alexa rankings.<\/p>\n

This is up 15 positions (from 85) since the beginning of 2016, and over 80 positions (from 151) from 2015, reports TorrentFreak<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

While it is simple\u00a0to point out the obvious reasons for the site’s popularity, KAT is\u00a0the only Torrent site anywhere in the top 100, beating popular rivals PirateBay, Mininova and isohunt.<\/p>\n

The website’s rise through the rankings can be attributed somewhat to The Pirate Bay’s recent domain issues, which previously outranked it in popularity.<\/p>\n

KickassTorrents is the first\u00a0torrent site\u00a0to\u00a0be ranked among the Alexa top 70 since Mininova in 2007.<\/p>\n
