Nvidia’s new Pascal cards have officially released<\/a><\/strong> in South Africa, offering some of the best cost-to-power ratios ever offered by graphics cards.<\/p>\n

While we have seen talk of how the GTX 1070 is more powerful than the 980 Ti, do these cards really offer better value than previous generation Nvidia cards?<\/p>\n

We took a look at how the new Pascal cards compare to previous Nvidia flagships and whether they really are as powerful as you think.<\/p>\n

The newer Pascal cards seem to offer a relatively large leap in performance over previous generations.<\/p>\n

The GTX 1070 beat the GTX 980 Ti in performance benchmarks and the GeForce GTX 1080 shows a performance increase of 70% over the GTX 980<\/strong>, the flagship GPU of the previous Maxwell generation.<\/p>\n
