ICON 2016, South Africa’s longest-running comics and games convention, kicks off this weekend.<\/p>\n

The convention will be held at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand from 24-26 June<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The event will feature a massive cosplay competition, streaming the finals worldwide and awarding finalists with a spot in the 2017 Cosplay Calendar.<\/p>\n

The convention will also include various tabletop gaming tournaments, featuring titles such as\u00a0Star Realm, Dominion, and King of Tokyo, while also hosting the World Championship Settlers of Catan\u00a0qualifiers.<\/p>\n

The winners of the competition will go on to compete in the Settlers of Catan World Championship in Colorado.<\/p>\n

A Day Pass for the event will cost R100<\/strong>, while a Weekend Pass is priced at R150<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
