{"id":95941,"date":"2016-06-21T12:17:15","date_gmt":"2016-06-21T10:17:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=95941"},"modified":"2016-06-21T12:32:30","modified_gmt":"2016-06-21T10:32:30","slug":"ign-africa-has-been-shut-down","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/95941-ign-africa-has-been-shut-down","title":{"rendered":"IGN Africa has been shut down"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>IGN Africa has been shut down after a recent lack of activity due to a <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/92533-ign-africa-currently-shut-down-due-to-money-dispute.html\" target=\"_blank\">money dispute<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The African IGN website\u00a0no longer exists, and attempting\u00a0to access it via\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/za.ign.com\" target=\"_blank\">za.ign.com<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0or <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/africa.ign.com\">africa.ign.com<\/a><\/strong> will result in an automatic redirection to the United States IGN domain.<\/p>\n<p>This follows <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/92533-ign-africa-currently-shut-down-due-to-money-dispute.html\" target=\"_blank\">recent reports<\/a><\/strong> of IGN Africa publisher Chris Mostert attempting to solve a dispute over the method of payment for the IGN licence.<\/p>\n<p>When asked for comment regarding the closure of IGN Africa, Mostert stated:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;What you are asking is about our business and when we are launching again.
