Toy manufacturer Mattel has officially unveiled its new Barbie – and she’s a game developer.<\/p>\n
Game Developer Barbie is part of a new product line that aims to be more feminist-palatable amid declining sales, reports The Huffington Post<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n She is also incredibly authentic, according to Molly Proffitt, CEO of Ker-Chunk Games, who was brought in to make this new Barbie “believably-techie”.<\/p>\n \u201cThe computer has [Javascript]\u00a0on it and you can see various instances of game engines on her laptop.”<\/p>\n “I really know that girls need an icon that shows that they can be a part of the [tech] space and Barbie does that.
