{"id":96379,"date":"2016-06-23T17:42:16","date_gmt":"2016-06-23T15:42:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=96379"},"modified":"2016-06-23T17:43:15","modified_gmt":"2016-06-23T15:43:15","slug":"google-plans-to-replace-your-passwords-with-a-trust-system","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/features\/96379-google-plans-to-replace-your-passwords-with-a-trust-system","title":{"rendered":"Google plans to replace your passwords with a trust system"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Google intends to use your biometrics data including <span class=\"main-article-info\">typing patterns, your current location, and more<\/span> to strengthen your authentication, reports <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/thehackernews.com\/2016\/05\/android-abacus-trust-api.html\" target=\"_blank\">Hackernews<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Features include the ability to unlock when it recognises a trusted GPS location, or when your device&#8217;s camera recognises the user&#8217;s facial characteristics.<\/p>\n<p>The collected data then helps the API formulate a &#8220;Trust score&#8221; which will let you authenticate without being prompted for a password.<\/p>\n<p>The new Trust API will be available to Android developers by the end of 2016 and is currently undergoing tests at &#8220;very large financial institutions&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How do you feel about this planned &#8220;trust system&#8221;?
