Those of you who are actively publishing YouTube videos may have noticed a sudden decline in subscriber numbers, as Google\u00a0has begun culling inactive accounts.<\/p>\n
The results of the mass deletion are most noticeable on bigger YouTube\u00a0accounts, with Shacknews reporting<\/strong> <\/a>that “an average of 1% to 2% of subscriptions have been lost by content creators”.<\/p>\n YouTube<\/strong> itself lost 40,000<\/strong> subscribers, while PewDiePie<\/strong> lost over 613,000<\/strong> subscribers.<\/p>\n It is not currently known how many accounts were deleted or what the requirements were for deletion, but the process is believed to still be ongoing.<\/p>\n How active are you on your YouTube account?
