{"id":9711,"date":"2011-01-28T10:53:00","date_gmt":"2011-01-28T08:53:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T22:00:00","slug":"crysis-2-pre-release-pc-demo-announced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/pc\/9711-crysis-2-pre-release-pc-demo-announced","title":{"rendered":"Crysis 2 pre-release PC demo announced"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While we were pleased to report earlier this week that Crytek had <a href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/xbox\/9565-Crysis-multiplayer-demo-will-Xbox-360-exclusive.html\" target=\"_self\">announced a multiplayer demo for Crysis 2<\/a>, we were disappointed that it was to be released exclusively on Xbox 360. We&#8217;re all for multiplatform releases, but the original Crysis was a PC exclusive, and the idea of playing the sequel on a console just feels wrong somehow. Also, Crysis was all about the eye-candy, and it will be very interesting how the sequel compares to it in terms of performance and visual fidelity.<\/p>\n<p>The demo has since hit Xbox Live, and so far user feedback has been highly positive.<\/p>\n<p>PC gamers have cause for celebration today, as Crytek and EA have announced via <a href=\"http:\/\/translate.googleusercontent.com\/translate_c?hl=de&amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;sl=de&amp;tl=en&amp;u=http:\/\/twitter.com\/Crysis\/status\/30759160287076352&amp;prev=_t&amp;rurl=translate.google.bs&amp;usg=ALkJrhiRjaOp1zZiiXFCd6MALr5fW5825Q\" target=\"_blank\">Twitter<\/a> that a PC demo will be released before the game&rsquo;s launch date.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;At this time, Crytek &amp; EA are glad to confirm that we&#8217;ll be releasing a pre-launch multiplayer demo Crysis 2 on PC!&#8221;<br \/><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Stay tuned for details.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>That&rsquo;s all we know for now, but as the tweet instructs, we will be staying tuned for details.
