{"id":97772,"date":"2016-07-06T08:17:59","date_gmt":"2016-07-06T06:17:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=97772"},"modified":"2016-07-06T08:20:28","modified_gmt":"2016-07-06T06:20:28","slug":"pokemon-go-launches-on-android-and-ios","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/mobile\/97772-pokemon-go-launches-on-android-and-ios","title":{"rendered":"Pok\u00e9mon Go launches on Android and iOS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pok\u00e9mon Go has begun its official worldwide release, and is currently available on the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.nianticlabs.pokemongo\" target=\"_blank\">Google Play<\/a><\/strong> and<a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/au\/app\/pokemon-go\/id1094591345?mt=8\" target=\"_blank\"><strong> iPhone App stores<\/strong><\/a>, reports <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamespot.com\/articles\/pokemon-go-is-starting-to-roll-out-now\/1100-6441523\/\" target=\"_blank\">Gamespot<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The game is currently only available in <strong>Australia<\/strong> and <strong>New Zealand<\/strong>, and will presumably roll out to more regions, including South Africa in the near future.<\/p>\n<p>Pok\u00e9mon Go is a free-to-play augmented-reality\u00a0game which interacts with the real world, allowing players to search for and capture Pok\u00e9mon hiding in real locations.<\/p>\n<p>The mobile game will offer various microtransactions but will still include classic Pok\u00e9mon gameplay with multiplayer elements, using reality as the game world.<\/p>\n<p>Some creatures will be country-specific, promoting global communication and competition between players.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Are you excited for the release of\u00a0Pok\u00e9mon Go?
