Dead Space 1 launched to critical acclaim, but paradoxically only managed moderate sales success. Hitting shelves in October 2008, it was below 500,000 unit sales a month after launch and barely managed to shift a million units worldwide by the end of the year.<\/p>\n
As you are probably inescapably aware, Dead Space 2 launched last week, and EA is proudly lauding its sales success. “Dead Space 2 launched last week with a critical index of 91 — outscoring the original Dead Space and outselling it two-to-one,” said the publisher in its latest financial highlights.<\/p>\n
We can perhaps assume this means it will be breaking the million sales mark within the launch month window. The game is definitely worthy of financial reward – it’s a cracker.<\/p>\n
