EA’s just launched a free, downloadable FPS, Duty Calls. Set in and around somewhere politically significant, the game sees players take on the enemies of freedom in a blah blah nuclear missile bomb blah blah counting on you.<\/p>\n
The game’s innovative features include:<\/p>\n
• Duty Vision slows down the action so you can unload a storm of bullets<\/p>\n
• Immersive dialogue from the front lines<\/p>\n
• Cold, calculated realism<\/p>\n
• Killing animations motion captured from real actors<\/p>\n
• True-life reloading system allows for mistakes in putting the cartridge in the gun<\/p>\n
• Iconic sound effects<\/p>\n
• Thwart an enemy threat that could topple the country and possibly the world<\/p>\n
• Significant and historically accurate props<\/p>\n
According to Epic Games’ Cliff Blezsinski, “This game will redefine military shooters for years to come.”<\/p>\n

For those of you who aren’t much good with acrostics, the whole thing’s a joke – and, of course, a marketing campaign for Epic and People Can Fly’s Bulletstorm.<\/p>\n
It is a real game, though – and quite possibly the first ever to include the rank of Sergeant of the Master Sergeants Most Important Person of the Extreme Sergeants to the Max, which is quite a big deal, obviously – and you can grab it from the official site.<\/a><\/p>\n If you don’t have 759 MB of bandwidth to burn, there’s a complete video playthrough (around 5 minutes or so), over here.
