20th Century Fox Television and Marvel Television will co-produce an X-Men television\u00a0series, with Fox delivering guarantees that it will pick up the pilot episode,\u00a0Variety reported<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The series is currently untitled\u00a0and\u00a0will focus on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers and are forced to go on the run from a hostile government.<\/p>\n

Matt Nix will write the pilot episode, and will be an executive producer on the show along with X-Men film\u00a0director Bryan Singer.<\/p>\n

Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, and\u00a0Marvel\u2019s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory also join the team as executive producers.<\/p>\n

No details about the air date of the pilot have yet been announced.<\/p>\n
