{"id":9855,"date":"2011-02-04T13:33:00","date_gmt":"2011-02-04T11:33:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T22:00:00","slug":"two-worlds-ii-launches-on-steam-sa-retail-release-still-incoming","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/9855-two-worlds-ii-launches-on-steam-sa-retail-release-still-incoming","title":{"rendered":"Two Worlds II launches on Steam, SA retail release still incoming"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The English language version of Two Worlds II has had a tumultuous journey to retail, with release dates changing more frequently than Bobby Kotick changes his solid gold underpants.<\/p>\n<p>The EU multi-language version of the game has been out since November 2010, and although critics had mixed opinions on the title, there was a general consensus that it had enough merit to be deemed a decent game.<\/p>\n<p>Publisher TopWare Interactive decided to hold back a holiday 2010 release to avoid competing for shelf-space with a slew of AAA titles.<\/p>\n<p>UK residents have suffered another setback, with TopWare <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/articles\/2011-02-02-two-worlds-ii-uk-cargo-wrecked\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Eurogamer\">confirming<\/a> that a damaged shipment of the product from China means that the date has been pushed back from 18 February to 25 February.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/7520\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Two Worlds II on Steam\">Two Worlds II has arrived on Steam<\/a>, on schedule &#8211; the benefits of digital distribution meaning that shipment delays and product manufacturing aren&rsquo;t really a problem.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, MyGaming has been trying to sleuth out a local release date for Two Worlds II, getting in touch with local distributor for TopWare, Apex Interactive.
