The game has only been officially released in a few regions: Australia, New Zealand, the US, Germany, and the UK.<\/p>\n

As of yesterday, Pok\u00e9mon Go attracted just under 21 million daily active users in the United States, SurveyMonkey reported.<\/p>\n

The game\u00a0has surpassed Candy Crush Saga\u2019s rumoured peak US smartphone audience of 20 million, making it the biggest mobile game in US history.<\/p>\n

Massive growth<\/h3>\n

Since its launch, the growth of Pok\u00e9mon Go has been astronomical, surpassing Tinder\u2019s number of daily active users on Android within a few days, and leaving Twitter in the dust.<\/p>\n

If it maintains its growth trajectory, it may even overtake SnapChat and Google Maps, SurveyMonkey said.<\/p>\n

Huge initial player influx does not equal financial success<\/h3>\n

SurveyMonkey cautioned that although Nintendo\u2019s share price might suggest otherwise, it is too early to declare Pok\u00e9mon Go a financial victory for the business.<\/p>\n

Nintendo owns a minority stake<\/a><\/strong> in Pok\u00e9mon Go developer Niantic through various vehicles, and SurveyMonkey said it will pocket just a small slice of the game\u2019s profits.<\/p>\n

It also noted that games that generate tremendous hype don\u2019t always turn into a sustainable success.<\/p>\n

\u201cBack in 2012, Draw Something consumed the public consciousness for a few weeks before its user numbers dropped like a stone,\u201d SurveyMonkey said.<\/p>\n

\u201cNintendo\u2019s last mobile game, Miitomo, met a similar fate, finding early success that was ultimately unsustainable.\u201d<\/p>\n
