best places to play Pokemon GO in South Africa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pokemon GO is currently taking the world by storm, with news that the\u00a0app has already eclipsed <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/gaming\/171911-pokemon-go-is-bigger-than-twitter.html\" target=\"_blank\">Twitter<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, there doesn&#8217;t appear to be a reliable online source that points out the best places to find gyms, Pokemon and shops just yet.<\/p>\n<p>Following reports that Pokemon GO was using data from Niantic&#8217;s previous title, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/pokemongo\/comments\/4sknib\/using_ingress_app_as_a_pok%C3%A9mon_go_maphack_to_find\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ingress<\/a>,<\/strong> we decided to cross-reference that game&#8217;s data with Pokemon GO in order to determine the &#8220;Poke-hotspots&#8221; in South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>You can check where the hotspots in your personal are on the official Ingress site (<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ingress.com\/intel\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a><\/strong>) by noting the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ingress Portals were mostly converted to PokeStops and Gyms.<\/li>\n<li>Pokemon Spawn points are linked to XM generation in Ingress.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Alternatively, if you are looking for specific Pokemon you should check out <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/pokemapper.co\/\" target=\"_blank\">Pokemapper.<\/a><\/strong> The amount of pokemon is pretty sparse at the moment, but expect the numbers to increase when the game becomes
