Microsoft has officially cut down the Xbox One’s recommended retail price down to $249 (R3,574)\u00a0<\/strong>globally, making it the third price cut in as many months, reports The Verge<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“This includes bundles with games like Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Quantum Break, Forza Motorsport 6, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Rare Replay.”<\/p>\n

With the Xbox One S expected to launch on 2 August<\/strong>, this price drop appears permanent as retailers begin clearing out inventory for the new console.<\/p>\n

The Xbox One S is expected <\/a><\/strong>to launch “sometime in November” in South Africa, bringing with it 4K video support, a new wireless controller, HDR support, and a smaller footprint.<\/p>\n

We have contacted Microsoft South Africa for information\u00a0as to how these price cuts will affect the price of the Xbox One in South Africa.<\/p>\n
