{"id":9981,"date":"2011-02-10T11:54:00","date_gmt":"2011-02-10T09:54:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T22:00:00","slug":"torchlight-ii-delayed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/9981-torchlight-ii-delayed","title":{"rendered":"Torchlight II delayed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Runic Games has announced that their action RPG Torchlight II, will now be released in July, as opposed to sometime around May.<\/p>\n<p>The delay has been attributed to the Xbox 360 version, which according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.digitalspy.co.uk\/gaming\/news\/a302872\/torchlight-ii-pushed-back-to-july.html,\" target=\"_blank\">Max Schaefer<\/a>, needs &ldquo;extra work with the interface.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s going great, however. We&#8217;ve actually got some optimisations and technical improvements that went into making the Xbox version that we&#8217;ve been able to go back and implement into Torchlight II for PC.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;ve got load times down, we&#8217;ve got some animation stuff that&#8217;s a little bit better, and it&#8217;s feeling really good right now.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Torchlight was released back in 2009, and despite its largely derivative gameplay, it was widely praised for its &ldquo;old-school RPG&rdquo; roots.
