CliffyB asks Gears 3 beta players to upload bug shots to YouTube

2 March 2011

If you see something happening in the Gears of War 3 multiplayer beta that probably shouldn’t be happening in the Gears of War 3 multiplayer beta, Epic Games’ CliffyB “Don’t Call Him CliffyB” CliffyB recommends capturing it all on video and uploading it to YouTube. Which people usually do anyway, of course, but now it’s official and everything.

“I want people uploading their bugs to YouTube,” Bleszinski says. “When the game’s released and that happens, it kind of breaks your heart. But now I want that to happen. In hindsight, we should have had a beta for Gears of War 2. That would’ve prevented a lot of the rocky online start, which I think really hindered the online success of the game.”

Note that “bugs” probably don’t include shotgun damage cones that you don’t like for some reason.

Although a launch date hasn’t yet been announced, the beta is expected to go live and loud sometime in April.
