Why one of the greatest racing games of all time is coming to the end of its life

With the launch of Forza Horizon 3 this week, Turn 10 studios has cemented its position at the top of the racing genre.

It’s with a heavy heart then that we have to inform you that the game that started it all, 2011’s Forza Horizon, will be delisted from the Xbox 360 store on 20 October.

That includes not only the main game, but all of the additional DLC and extras.

“On October 20, the original Forza Horizon for Xbox 360 will reach “End of Life” status.”

“Players who own Forza Horizon before that date will still be able to download and play the game and its associated content as normal.”

“After that date, however, Forza Horizon and its associated DLC will no longer be for sale.”

Although it’s not specified, this is likely a result of expiring car and music licensing deals which could also see it’s sequel, 2013’s Forza Horizon 2 being delisted in the next couple of years.
