Shadow Complex 2? Oh, it’s on. Okay, not that it’s like the most shocking announcement in the history of stuff or anything, but ChAIR’s recent confirmation is a comforting sort of reassurance, anyway. Gamers need reassurance, because all this constant disappointment about EVERYTHING makes us so insecure.
“I’ll put it this way. More Shadow Complex isn’t a question of if, it’s a question of when. Shadow Complex is our baby and we love it dearly and, y’know, we’re working on some cool stuff [in general]. That’s all I can say,” the company’s creative director, Donald Mustard told Eurogamer.
Don’t expect to see the sequel turning up on mobile platforms, though.
“I still cannot think of a way that we’d be able to bring over the precision controls [to touchscreen devices] that Shadow Complex needs to be amazing,” he said. “If you or any of your readers have some amazing control scheme idea that would work on a touch screen, let me know. Shadow Complex is designed for a controller. I’m not a fan of trying to shoehorn console controls onto touch screens. They don’t feel right. You just lose so much precision.”
In the meantime, experts agree that Shadow Complex was awesome, and we should have some more of that.
