Mario could be coming to the Xbox One

6 December 2016

Nintendo’s most iconic character could be heading to the Xbox One.

The idea was heavily hinted at by Xbox director Phil Spencer in a recent interview with AusGamers.

“I’d love to see Mario on Xbox,” said Spencer.

“As someone who’s been in this industry and played games forever, I’ll still say it: Nintendo has the strongest first-party of anybody.”

“They’re just fantastic and the memories that they have instilled in so many of us, who’ve played their games and had those delightful experiences, having those on Xbox would be great.”

Super Mario Run is the game most likely to make the jump, although it will release for iOS and Android devices first.

Run is the first game in the company’s history to feature the plumber on a non-Nintendo platform, but following the wild success of Pokemon GO, the Japanese company could be onto something.

What? If you asked Mark Cerny the same question he would give the same answer, that doesn’t mean Mario is coming to Playstation. I would like a million Rand, that doesn’t mean I could be getting a million Rand.
Please stop the clickbait news, every so often you have a good article and I think that maybe you can become a legitimate SA gaming news site, then you publish nonsense like this. Even on Neogaf something like this would lead to the thread being shutdown and maybe even the poster receiving a ban.
