Duck and cover, game fans – this is the big one.
According to an as yet unconfirmed report over on Japanese gaming blog Hachimaki, Battlefield 3’s Xbox 360 version will be deploying on two discs. The site’s all in foreign, so here’s the relevant image:
It’s not exactly clear how all this disc-swapping business is going to work out in the game, but I’d put hard cash on the single- and multiplayer components getting a disc each.
Other games that have released on two discs for Xbox include Mass Effect 2, LA Noire, and Dead Space 2. It’s like a super exclusive club, if that makes you feel any better about it.
Big shocker, the PS3 version is going out on just one Blu-ray disc, so you’ve all got something really important to fight about in the comments.
