Batman: Arkham City Xbox 360 Collector’s Edition also delayed

20 October 2011

Yesterday evening the news broke that PS3 versions of Batman: Arkham City Collector’s Edition have met a snag in shipping to South Africa, delaying the availability until next week.

It also emerged through the super-sleuths at NAG Online that the Xbox 360 version of the collector’s edition had suffered the same fate.

MyGaming has confirmed through the PR arm of Nu Metro (SA distributors of Warner Bros. Interactive products) that this is indeed the case.

Nu Metro previously explained that due to the busy airline freight period being experienced in the build up to the festive season, the airline carrying the shipment of PlayStation 3 Batman: Arkham City Collector Edition’s decided to bump the cargo off their flight.

This situation is now true for the Xbox 360 Collector’s Editions.

Nu Metro also explained that this decision was out of their hands and was made by the airline shipping company.

Nu Metro said that the cargo will be on route and should arrive on Friday 21 October 2011, to be delivered to stores on Monday 24 October 2011, hopefully ready for purchase by Tuesday.

Nu Metro apologised to customers for the delay, but reiterated that it was out of their control.

So, while console gamers can pick up the standard retail editions of Batman: Arkham City, PC gamers will likely have to wait until 21 November 2011 for their version to arrive.
