Xboxgaming.co.za has published its list of the most played games on Xbox Live in SA last week.

Unsurprisingly Modern Warfare 2 continues to be the most played Xbox 360 game in SA while Forza 3 holds out at second place.

Borderlands drops a place losing ground to Gears of War 2 which makes a comeback bouncing from ninth place to third.

Trials HD, Guitar Hero 5 and Left 4 Dead 2 disappear off the charts to be replaced by Tekken 6,  Darksiders and Army of Two: The 40th Day.

Xboxgaming.co.za tracks the playtime of their registered users, allowing them to publish information regarding what games see the most action on Microsoft’s online gaming service in SA. While the list does not reflect every Xbox 360 gamer in the country, it does reflect general trends, and as more Xbox Live users sign up it becomes an increasingly accurate barometer.

Surprising omissions this week include Left 4 Dead 2, Need for Speed: Shift and Halo 3 ODST. A number of AAA games are scheduled for release over the coming weeks, including Mass Effect 2, Bioshock 2 and Aliens Vs Predator.
