Always online will be its downfall. I would understand if its just for logging in like steam does for some games but to be online to play a single player game is asking too much.
Another factor against the new console will the playing of 2nd hand games. Most gamers in south africa can’t afford the high prices of games and thus rely on second hand games. The gaming industry does not loose a cent because companies like BTgames, Musica, CNA, etc pay for the games at the prices offered to them and then sells it R599, R699, R499, etc to make a profit. So if we the consumer buys a 2nd hand game, it should not affect the industry.
