Was the Xbox TV demo staged?

During the reveal event of the Xbox One, Microsoft demonstrated the TV integration features on the new console, but some NeoGAF forum sleuths suggest that the whole thing was a farce.

The demonstration showed the Xbox One switch to TV, showing the popular US show “The Price is Right” being played, but it’s been said that the episode shown was not the one that was currently on TV at the time. This suggests that it was pre-loaded and configured to look like live TV.

Secondly, when controlling the TV functions and interface through voice control, it appeared quick, responsive and smooth, but Wired’s exclusive look at the console showed it to be a bit choppy and slower than that was shown in the presentation.

Check 1:06 for the command which pulls up live TV:

So what do you think – is the interface still just “in-the-works”, or slow and choppy, or are gamers just being a bit too nit-picky at this point in time?
