As previously speculated by a leak, Capcom has announced a third instalment into the Dead Rising series, and it will be an Xbox One exclusive.

Dead Rising 3 will star a new hero named Nick Ramos and the sequel will retain the series’ open-world design.

Weapons will also be crafted, like in Dead Rising 2, allowing for hundreds (if not thousands) of different weapon combinations.

Vehicles will now play a role, allowing Nick to hop into a number of different cars to help him get around the game world. Zombies can also attempt to hop on the vehicle and break in.

SmartGlass will be integrated into the game, allowing players to call in artillery using the tablet-syncing feature.
