New Xbox One games announced

Microsoft has wrapped up its Gamescom 2013 press conference, leaving us with a few new game announces to mull over.

Since these announcements are breaking news, expect more details, screens, and video footage to emerge as Gamescom continues.

Fable Legends

It was inevitable; a new Fable game has been announced – exclusive to Xbox One of course.

Fable Legends will feature an online component in which players can take the role of either hero or villain.

Cobalt

Developed by Oxeye Studios and published by Mojang, Cobalt is an action platforming game which we know little about at this stage.

The game is single- and multi-player, featuring robots, rockets, and time manipulation. Cobalt will also hit Xbox 360.

Fighter Within

Ubisoft has been one of the more active publishers making use of Microsoft’s Kinect, and so they have stepped up with a new Kinect fighting game – Fighter Within.

Ubisoft’s press release makes a big fuss about “immersive, precise, responsive” motion detection – so expect to be flapping your limbs in your living room.

“Fighter Within delivers real-time wounds, sweat and facial impacts in order to propel players into the fight,” says Ubisoft – and that’s just deciding who gets to be Player 1.

The game should be available at launch.

Peggle 2 and Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare

PopCap announced that its platform-selling games will appear first on Xbox One.

Peggle 2 will see the return of the beautifully simplistic physics puzzling action (and unicorns!), and it will be availabe on Xbox One at launch.

PvZ: Garden Warfare is a 3D shooter that will hit the console sometime in 2014.

What do you think of these new game reveals? Anything got you excited? Let us know in the comments below and on the MyGaming forum.
