In more accessories-for-consoles-you-can’t-buy-yet-news, Microsoft has announced the Xbox One Media Remote, launching in March with a price tag of US$24.99 (±R275).
The remote allows users to control video playback for Blu-ray movies and streaming video on Xbox One.
There are dedicated Back and OneGuide buttons. The OneGuide button provides access to your favourite TV shows and movies through the Xbox program guide.
The Media Remote can also control TV/Receiver power and volume through Kinect, which uses IR to send signals to a TV and/or receiver.
The remote control boasts a soft silicone finish, and motion-activated backlit buttons.
The Xbox One console is rumoured to launch in South Africa in October 2014, but nothing has been made official.
