The demo for Crackdown 2 is available to Xbox Live Gold subscribers on Xbox Live Marketplace according to Kotaku and Joystiq.
It weighs in at 1GB and features accelerated character levelling, four-player co-op and a head start on earning ‘achievements’. Said achievements will naturally only be counted once you buy and play the full game.
Augmenting the hefty demo is a Facebook game called Chuck’s Ducks 2 which allows players to unlock an additional difficulty level for the demo as well as a multiplayer weapon for use in the full game. By playing Chuck’s Ducks 2 you earn Quackers, duck-shaped sticky bombs which you’d normally have to hunt down and collect in Crackdown 2.
Crackdown 2 is set to release on 8 July in the US and South Africa’s major retailers are predicting a local release of 9 July.
