I know, I know, I’ve got this massive fan-on for anything Gears of War. Complain to my editor or something. IN THE MEANTIME, HOWEVER.It’s Comic-Con next week. Not that it really matters or anything, but Epic is showing off Gears of War 3 there, so – the important bit – that means another special XP event.
Foolishly enough, Gears of War executive producer guy Rod Fergusson decided to suggest that for every 500 new followers he’d get on his Twitter page, Epic would multiplier the XP by one. Sometime around mid-afternoon yesterday, the ensuing madness was brought to a grunting, ‘nade-tagged stop by capping the XP multiplier at 20x.
I’d resigned myself to skipping the Rank 100 Achievement, but suddenly, that’s looking like a very likely contingency. No idea yet what’s happening with Horde, but Rod’s apparently working on it. Here’s to something special (read: easy farming for Seriously 2.0). During the recent Tick Tick Boom event, I delivered sad news to over 9000 Ticker families in the Hollows.
I’ll be seeing you lot on the business end of my shotty then.
