Microsoft responds to Mass Effect 2 on PS3

18 August 2010

The news that Mass Effect 2 would be making its way to the PS3 platform in January 2011 sent the ‘fanboys’ into a frenzy. Microsoft added some of their own chum to the troubled waters by issuing a response to the BioWare announcement.

“With both Mass Effect titles launching first on Xbox 360 combined with the wealth of available paid downloadable content on Xbox Live today, Xbox 360 remains the best place to experience the Mass Effect franchise. The original Mass Effect is absolutely an Xbox 360 exclusive, making Xbox 360 the only place to get the full Mass Effect experience,” a Microsoft representative said via a statement to IGN.

Could the Xbox 360 PR department be feeling slightly panicky now that they have lost one of their greatest ‘exclusive’ titles?
