rAge, South Africa’s gaming product and lifestyle expo and the country’s largest LAN event, the NAG LAN @ rAge is gearing up to entertain thousands of gamers this weekend – 1 to 3 October at the Coca-Cola Dome in Johannesburg.
“Visitors to rAge range from 10-year old gamers that are just starting out, hard core enthusiasts who want to play the latest games on display, and families looking for a great day out together, ” said Yvette van Rooyen, Xbox Product & Marketing Manager in South Africa. “Xbox 360 is using rAge to give visitors a sneak peek at some of the year’s most anticipated releases,” van Rooyen continued.
Microsoft’s Xbox 360 division has confirmed that Fable III will be on display at the Xbox 360 stand, giving fans a sneak preview before its release later in October. Fable III will feature an ensemble cast of renowned actors and voice talents, including Stephen Fry, John Cleese and Sir Ben Kingsley.
The Xbox 360 stand will also be giving visitors a chance to play with Kinect before its launch in November. The motion detecting input device tracks full body movement in 3D.
For online gamers, there will also be the opportunity to see what Xbox LIVE holds for South Africa and what the service entails.
Halo: Reach will also be at the stand to play around with, as if there was any doubt.
Local distributors Megarom and Numetro have revealed their plans for rAge, as has EA, who has some cage fighting plans in store.
