Xbox One Elite Controller is priced locally: releases October 31st

Xbox One Elite Controller - Launch Date

Given our fairly comprehensive coverage of the Xbox One’s Elite Controller, particularly because we compared it to our beloved Scuf brand, it’s not hard to see that we’re fans of what Microsoft has been brewing up for gaming enthusiasts.

And it’s not hard to see why: the thumb sticks not only come in a number of styles, but their height can also be adjusted; the controllers come with highly convenient back paddles, all of which can be swapped out; completely re-mappable controls; and a whole lot more.

There’s a reason a single controller will go for around $150 (or just over R2, 200 in SA).

Nevertheless, we finally have a launch date.

Set to launch on October 31st in South Africa and October 27th almost everywhere else, we’re looking to purchase at least one of these babies.

They’re just too darn sweet to pass up, though we may wait for a price drop before we do. Don’t expect one to happen anytime soon, but it’s not like you’re going to find better gamepads in the coming years.

Xbox One Elite Controller and box.

Included in the package you’ll find: Xbox Elite Wireless Controller, Carrying case, 4 paddles, 6 thumbsticks: standard (2), tall (2), and domed (2), 2 D-pads: faceted and standard, USB cable, AA batteries and a Quick setup guide and product manual.

Interested? You can pre-order your Elite Controller at Takelot or BT Games.

Who ever buys this controller is completely off there rocker, 2K plus, that’s nuts and on-top of it Microsoft have just given the standard controller map-able abilities. If this does sell in this country at this price it will be a true reflection on how blind we are. The attack of the R-$ Exchange LOL LOL LOL LOL (Zuma Style)
