Xbox Live’s Games with Gold for February – Styx: Master of Shadows, Gears of War 2 and more

If you ask us, this month’s Games with Gold isn’t half bad. That’s because February’s games include:

Hand of Fate: From February 1-29 on Xbox One
Styx: Master of Shadows: From February 16-March 15 on Xbox One
Sacred Citadel: From February 1-15 on Xbox 360 (Xbox One backwards compatible)
Gears of War 2: From February 16-29 on Xbox 360 (Xbox One backwards compatible)

Hand of Fate and Styx: Master of Shadows, for example, may not be AAA releases, but both are pretty solid games nonetheless, scoring a number of positive reviews by both critics and users alike.

Not quite enough? Thanks to the Xbox One’s backwards compatibility, a good portion of the games offered for the Xbox 360, like this month’s Gears of War and Sacred Citadel, are also playable on the Xbox One.

In fact, if you’ve been a member of Games with Gold long enough, you’ll now own the entire collection of Gears of War titles, all of which are playable on both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

That’s four games for Xbox One, and if you’re quick enough you still have time to claim Deus Ex: Human Revolution, a January game, which also happens to be Xbox One compatible.
