It’s kind of the world’s worst-kept secret that Epic Games is planning some sort of Gears of War 3 reveal for next month’s Spike TV Video Game awards, but according the design director Cliff Blezsinski, it’s not what anybody is expecting. Except for the actual reveal, obviously.
“Don’t miss the Gears of War announcement that’ll have everyone talking,” says an anonymous voice over guy on the VGA trailer, before The Artist Formerly Known As Cliffy B jumps in with, “We’ll be showing off some new Gears of War gameplay. It’s gonna be awesome. You’re gonna love it. It’s not what you expected.”
Gears of War Kinect? Gears of War 3D? Gears of War Hero: Warriors of Jacinto? I’m expecting all of those, so I’m covered.
The VGAs are happening on Saturday 11 December.
