The wait is finally over for Gears of War fans – The Coalition has announced that Gears of War 4 will be released on 11 October 2016.
Gears of War 4 will feature a new group of characters with unique dynamics, and takes place in the familiar setting of the Gears universe.
The game will mark the beginning of a new epic adventure while retaining familiar elements from other Gears of War titles.
Gears of War 4 will feature the same level of refined cooperative and competitive play as previous games in the series.
The game runs on Unreal Engine 4 and presents superb graphics compared to previous games in the Gears of War series, while providing smooth gameplay thanks to the current generation of hardware – as seen in the gameplay trailer posted below.
If you want to get a taste of the game before its release and you played Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, you can join the multiplayer beta on 18 April – otherwise you will be able to join the beta from 25 April if you are an Xbox Live Gold member.
Gears of War 4 will release on 11 October 2016 for Xbox One.
